A project becomes a work of
art
The the first step in the manufacture of jewelry is project plan.
Next comes the wax or acrylic model. Then the chosen material is poured into a mold using different techniques:
lost-wax casting
sand casting
-
the sepia technique
After moulding a number of different
techniques can be used: sawing, filing, drilling, turning, milling, polishing or etching.
At this point you have the option to include your gemstone
in the jewelry.
To perfect your creation, you may also need to practice techniques such as carving, hammering, welding, enamelling, filigree technique or granulation.
At the start, all of these techniques may seem complicated, but you can improve in
one of the workshops run by Roland.
